PROJAR exhibits its hydroponic berry production and organic farming options at Fruit Attraction 2017
Green sector company Projar will present its solutions for hydroponic berry cultivation and its range of products certified for organic agriculture at Fruit Attraction 2017. Projar aims to share its extensive experience with farmers, advising and introducing hydroponic solutions for berry growing, to meet the growing demand and interest in sustainable agriculture and organic farming both in Spain and abroad.
Hydroponics is an alternative berry farming method, especially suitable for blueberry production, given its characteristics and advantages in comparison with production in soil or with traditional crops. A team of engineers with expertise ins hydroponics and intensive cultivation techniques has been helping farmers for more than 20 years, offering them advice in each stage of the growing process. Procar has also transferred hydroponic techniques to high-value crops such as blueberries and raspberries.
Organic farming and the trend toward far more sustainable vegetable production will also take centre stage. Projar will present its range of products for this type of production, among them, coconut fibre, substrates, fertilisers and biodegradable trays. They are all certified for this type of agriculture with ECOCERT and OMRI stamps, in compliance with American and European regulations, respectively. In addition, the company will show its semi-hydroponic solution for fruit trees, for which it has obtained the utility model. This improves production on farms with soil quality issues and limited water supplies.
