


FRUIT FUSIÓN 2010
The conference, organised by IFEMA and FEPEX, in collaboration with madridfusión and the Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs will be presenting a special event within the framework of Fruit Attraction to showcase the culinary possibilities using products from the Spanish market garden and provide a platform for consumer promotion.
This year the FRUIT FUSIÓN programme introduces the participation of renowned international chefs such as Sicilian Corrado Assenza, (Caffé Sicilia) and Mexican Rita Sánchez, (La Taquería del Alamillo), together with an exciting programme of international star chefs.

FRUIT ATTRACTION, the Trade Show for the Fruit and Vegetable Industry are to host for the second consecutive year, the Gastronomy Conference on Fruit and Vegetables for the Horeca Channel, FRUIT FUSIÓN 2010, organised by IFEMA and FEPEX, in collaboration with madridfusión and the Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs.
FRUIT FUSIÓN is again a space for creating and enjoying the best produce the land has to offer the kitchen and is a unique promotional platform for incentivising the consumption of fruit and vegetables to the Horeca channel, its target audience. At the same time it provides exhibitors with a valuable promotional instrument and shop window to display the richness and variety of their products such as fruits of the forest, seedless grapes, etc.
This year the FRUIT FUSIÓN programme includes the participation of renowned world-class chefs such as the Sicilian Corrado Assenza, (Caffé Sicilia) and Mexican Rita Sánchez, (La Taquería del Alamillo). Alongside them will be a whole host of specially invited top Spanish chefs including Carmelo Bosque, (Restaurante Lillas Pastia), Fernando del Cerro, (Restaurante Casa José), Jesús González Conejero, (Restaurante La Cabaña), Francis Paniego, (Restaurante Portal de Echaurren), Marcelo Tejedor, (Restaurant Casa Marcelo) and David Yarnoz, (Restaurant El Molino de Urdániz).
As a complement to the show cooking demonstrations, FRUIT FUSIÓN will also be presenting a special area devoted to the art of cocktail making, under the direction of famed barman Diego Cabrera (Le Cabrera restaurant and cocktail bar), and it will also be incorporating the 1st National Largest Fruit Contest.
The conference includes discussions and workshops presented by leading sector professionals such as Luis Pacheco (Gold Gourmet) and José Uranga (FEPECO), as well as product tasting hosted by exhibitors and a whole host of other activities aimed at incentivising the consumption of fruit and vegetables in a fun, dynamic and participative way.
FRUIT FUSION is being held in Hall 10, in the same area as the commercial activity on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 October from 12:00 to 18:00 hours and on Friday 22 October from 12:00 to 13:00 hours.
